The Emergent Forum 2010 is behind me and it was a great and enriching time. Hosted by the Weigle House in food and I was alone this "backdrop" was great. The employees there make a class work. The preparation of the Forum team has changed the design for this year's forum and it was no classic presentations, but there were five rooms in which one could deal in very different ways based on five themes of the "third way". I was with a team for the room "all new or all that? We are looking for a way to go forward courageously and yet allow different speeds. "There were some" impulse "and preceded by many meetings and discussions as we in our churches and communities, while others can not lose. Some interesting questions were: "What are the motivations of change," What's scary, "" How do we deal with power, "etc. In the afternoon we went specifically to the question as a" third way "can be lived when two different opinions (or theologies but world views?) collide. This has been the subject of "truth" very concrete. What me this room has inspired, the very different people that was discussed very openly, honestly and controversial, and also very practical. Thanks to all who participated. Around the GR, there was still plenty of time to meet, alternative worship, good food and a great church service with the house church Weigle. It was great to see so many talented and creative Christians, because it is fun being a Christian! :) For me it was a very enriching WE the only downer was that my "Three Ladies" call could not because of illness ...
