" 21 Grams - How serious is your soul "

In Christ meeting Thursday service we have just the number of "movie" and there are sermons on various films of current (Inception) to classics (Fight Club). I was last night on it and was allowed to preach on one of my favorite movies: 21 grams A masterpiece by Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, who weaves virtuosic three stories with one another and the different sequences (short episodes, usually between 30 seconds and 3 minutes) achronologisch a mosaic in its wake. A very atmospheric, emotional and engaging film that many Christian motifs receives. Content, it is this: The terminally ill college professor Paul Rivers (Sean Penn) is hoping for a heart transplant, his wife Mary (Charlotte Gainsbourg) wants his child through artificial insemination, even, if the child learns to know his father before. Cristina Peck (Naomi Watts) lives with her husband and two daughters in a happy family. Ex-con Jack Jordan (Benicio Del Toro) finally holds himself and his family barely above water, maintenance takes place in the religion. The lives of these very different people will change radically, as Jack wipes in a car accident Cristina's family. Paul gets the heart of the victim and developed Feelings for the widow. It begins as a confusion of love, grief and guilt. Therefore, the initial word of the sermon:
• What is the weight of guilt?
• How much does love?
• How much does revenge?
• How much does your soul?

"It means we all lose 21 grams, at the very moment when we die."
